Citizens for South Bristol began with 15 people from across all parties. We listened to over 200 South Bristol residents to learn what YOU care about most, meeting with residents in neighborhood gatherings in every part of our town from Walton Point, to Berby Hollow, and Gulick Road. We then sent our survey out to 400 more.
The results are in.
Add your voice to the hundreds of South Bristol residents we've heard from and let us know what YOU think are the most important issues facing our town!
I am happy to endorse Chris Abraham and Jamie Hall for Town Board and Lisa Moore for Town Supervisor. I’ve seen these three listen to what the people of South Bristol have to say and I know that they’ll do everything they can to put the needs of our residents first. It’s what Chris has always done, and I expect nothing different from those who are running along with him.
I believe in Lisa Moore’s leadership skills, knowledge, teamwork, and kindness. I’ve seen her devotion to public safety when we were canvassing to get the speed limit lowered on Seneca Point Road. I’m proud to endorse her for South Bristol Town Supervisor along with Jamie Hall and Chris Abraham for Town Board.
South Bristol and Naples are inextricably connected. We enjoy beautiful vistas and supportive businesses and grow new businesses at the same time. We rely upon each other and this is why I am proud to support Lisa Moore for Town Supervisor and Chris Abraham and Jamie Hall as Town Councilmembers.
Lisa Moore is a community focused person who has already proven her ability to bring people together creating a strong community atmosphere; one that’s much needed in our world today.
I’m endorsing Lisa Moore for Town Supervisor, along with Chris Abraham and Jamie Hall for Town Board, because I know they care about South Bristol and its environment. For fifty years I’ve been growing grapes and making wine here, and doing it sustainably. We do it because it’s better for people, it’s better for the land, and it’s better for the wine. Glen Hollow has been an ambassador for Finger Lakes wine for years, and having worked with Lisa, it’s clear that she understands that responsible stewardship is good for business and for the community. That’s the kind of person we need as Town Supervisor.
Lisa listens to what we have to say. Sometimes I think that our town hall has to be reminded that Bristol Harbour is part of South Bristol. When Lisa and her running mates say they want to make things better for the town, party politics do not matter. I have known Chris and the Abraham family for many years, I trust these candidates to do the right thing.
Lisa Moore is owner of Glen Hollow, a retreat venue and winery, President of the Bristol Library Board, and board member of the Bristol Hills Historical Society.
After running a $100M business unit of a Fortune 500 company, Lisa was inspired by South Bristol’s beauty and community to pour her passion and experience into her new small business, and to work with numerous local non-profits including Called to Care of Canandaigua, Family Promise of Ontario County, and the Boys & Girls Club.
A tireless worker, natural leader, and consensus-builder, Lisa Moore brings a wealth of experience managing budgets and teams in a transparent, collaborative manner—using her good humor and positive attitude to get things done.
“I'm dedicated to bringing fresh ideas and uniting our community to address challenges, move initiatives forward, and seize opportunities that will enhance our quality of life in South Bristol.”
Chris has deep roots in the community. He grew up in Naples and has worked at the Messenger Post and as assistant producer of Doc & Katy’s Green Thumb for WHAM. He and his wife Dionne have lived in South Bristol since 1997, and their two sons attended Naples schools. He now runs Abraham Screen Printing.
Chris’s long track record of service includes work on the boards of the South Bristol Grange and Historical Society, and five years as president of the Naples Community Park Foundation.
A strong believer in engaging youth, he was board president of Naples Youth Center and is current board president of the Naples Youth Corporation. He’s coached baseball, soccer, and was counselor to Naples Troop 40 Scouts.
“My goal is to give back to a community that’s given us so much, to listen, and ensure that South Bristol’s future holds the best of what we appreciate today.”
Born and raised in South Bristol, Jamie Hall graduated from Naples Central and has loved the Bristol Hills since childhood. For years, Jamie worked for the Boy Scouts at Camp Cutler and still spends hours hiking with her husband Ben and their dog Trudy Jane.
Jamie attended the Culinary Institute of America and returned to South Bristol with the hope of bringing her passion for hospitality and tourism together with her love for the Bristol Hills.
As the Event Manager for The Boathouse Club at Seager Marine, Jamie has had the privilege of working with many local restaurants and establishments, helping to curate relationships between the community and local business owners, and promote local businesses to the region’s many visitors.
“I look forward to working with South Bristol residents to promote preservation of our natural spaces and encourage community engagement across all ages.”
